A new era is beginningIf my last journal entry wasn't enough, how about this...A new era is beginning by Mystic-Cheetah
That's right, I'm cooking up that Curtains of Smoke reboot. I'm starting with mostly characters. And I don't want to give too much away, but here are some of the features of Codename Arroyo Azul:
Improved world building. In fact, I haven't written any text of the novel yet—I've been working on character, state and place descriptions over the past few days. Characters will be more consistent thanks to this effort, and it won't be so much of a patchwork.Fewer states to keep track of. There are only 14 at the start of Arroyo Azul. Really. It's a cleaner map, and the relations are more memorable, too. There's a species rivalry, a straight-up military dictatorship, and two failed states (one wrapped up in civil war, another with guerrilla movements on the outside). It looks like CoS, but it's not. There are many things coming back in this reboot; you'll find Arcadia Valley in the same place, and there's still a character named R

Born from dust of the Earth, I bring forth my representations of life for you to see.
Throughout my life I have always been involved in art. When I was a child I was pulled from class to study art because they felt I "had a gift". Well I was a great drawer and really really good at making clay shrooms. I have a lot lying around still.
Well when I was about 13 I quit focusing on drawing and writing as I had before and focused on music. Music has been my life for many years. It touched my soul and inspires all my paintings.
In April 2011, I picked up the brush and began painting. I had never tried the medium seriously before and I really enjoyed it. After a few paintings I was hooked.
Now I try to express my views on philosophy and life through art instead of music. (though I still aggressively record music of the avant garde)
Please look deep in my paintings, you may teach me something with your comments. I am a humble artist. I want to learn from you...
